I’ve learned a lot of lessons the hard way in life so far. I’ve tried to use shortcuts, I’ve had some success, and I’ve experienced plenty of failure and along the way I’ve learned one very, very important lesson.

Be Remarkable.

It doesn’t matter what you are doing in life, what your goals are, what you want to be when you grow up, there is a very simple rule that you need to follow if you want to reach your goals.

Be Remarkable.

The people who are truly successful in life are not remarkable because they are successful, they are successful because they are remarkable.

Think about professional basketball players like Michael Jordan or Kobe Bryant. They are obviously gifted, but so are hundreds of athletes. However, both have a famously intense practice work ethic. They have a God given talent that is amazing, and yet they work as hard or harder than anyone they compete against. Whether they are the best or not, they keep working hard. That work ethic is remarkable and success would have found them whether they were the most gifted or not.

Be Remarkable.

Maybe you want a better job or to be famous or find the man or woman of your dreams. I don’t know what you want, but I know that being remarkable is a huge advantage in getting what you want.

Be Remarkable like an upside down sculpture!

Well think about the word remarkable. It means “worthy of attention; striking.” If you break down the word remarkable, it’s a compound word of remark and able. Or, the ability to be remarked on, the ability to be talked about. In short, being remarkable is about if you are worth talking about.

Are you worth being talked about? Is your product/work/art/craft worth being talked about?

Why not?

If you aren’t living a remarkable life or doing remarkable things, what are you going to do about it?

Be Remarkable.

My challenge to you is to join me in my quest to Be Remarkable.
