Original question from Quora:
What is the best entrepreneurship advice to become a millionaire while in my 20s?
There is only one way I know how to become a millionaire at such a young age and every person I’ve ever seen get that rich that quick ends up doing pretty much the same thing…
It looks like this. There are two musicians, both excellent at guitar. They graduate school about the same time and both decide to become professional musicians.
One starts an experimental thrash metal band that has 5 minute guitar solos, fast riffs, and no lyrics. They are really hot in the metal scene amongst the hardest of the hardcore metalheads…
And they will never be played on any radio station ever.
The other musician does more of the pop guitar thing like Jack Johnson and John Mayer and manages to have some hit songs. A couple crack the top ten and he spends the next decade touring and playing sold out shows along with a string of hit albums.
A lot of people buy his music and it’s on the radio all the time.
The second musician became a millionaire at a young age and the first one became a millionaire probably never.
Both are brilliant musicians but the second did something that the first one didn’t.
He gave a lot of people what they want to buy.
Making millions in your twenties pretty much boils down to being very successful at giving a lot of people something they will pay you money for.
It doesn’t matter if you are trading stocks, selling music, filling sports stadiums, starting a business, or even being a doctor. There has to be demand for what you are selling and you have to deliver what is in demand.
There are other answers to this question that are good answers, but none of them help much if there isn’t demand for what you are selling.
