Original question from Quora:

What are some must read non-fiction books?

I m a CAT 2015 aspirant. I want to read some books which can even help me intellectually. So please recommend some quality books

My Answer:

One non-fiction book that is worth reading is the godfather of pretty much all self-help, business, and success related books - Think And Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill. The book has sold over 100 million copies over the years and yet it doesn’t get as much notice as books by Malcom Gladwell or Seth Godin.

It’s too bad because Think and Grow Rich is a fascinating book. Some of Hill’s other work is potentially more “practical” in nature, but Think And Grow Rich has a magic to it that his other writing lacked.

Sometimes I think the title sounds so cheesy because it’s been ripped off so many times over the last 80 years or so, but it’s still worth reading.

Pretty much all the principles Hill laid out in this book are relevant today and are worth examination in your own life. At the very least, if you have any desire for anything in life, this book can give you something to help you move toward it.
